Abstract

Such problems as socialization, the formation of children in different countries of the world by age periods are relevant for the research of psychologists, philosophers, sociologists. The development of a child's social intelligence has been important in recent years. The article provides definitions, opinions of scientists on the concept of "social intelligence". Thus, social intelligence is the ability to understand and react to other people or act towards others. The concept of "social intelligence" was first used by E. Thorndike in psychology. Subsequently, many scientists have contributed to the definition and interpretation of this concept. G. Allport associated social intelligence with the ability to express opinions about other people quickly, almost automatically, and predict a person's reaction with maximum accuracy. At the same time, he described social intelligence as a special "social gift" that promotes communication with people.
