This article presents the results of the cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of the English SCL_EN (Somatic Complaints List) into the Kazakh language, aimed at diagnosing the psychosomatic health of adolescents.

The purpose of the study is to empirically evaluate the reliability and validity of the SCL_EN questionnaire in a Kazakh-speaking sample. The study involved 472 public school students. The internal consistency of the scale was tested using Cronbach's alpha, and item-total correlations were used to assess structural homogeneity. The psychometric analysis revealed a high Cronbach's alpha value (0.840), demonstrating the internal consistency and reliability of the scale. The corrected item-total correlation values (0.329 - 0.664) confirmed the high discriminative power of each item. Descriptive statistics indicated a predominance of chronic fatigue and headache symptoms among adolescents.

The findings confirm the methodological validity of applying the Kazakh version of the SCL_EN in psychological counseling and academic research.
