The modern system of preschool education, providing pupils with the first test of social interaction, a test of knowledge of the world and oneself, requires teachers to be able to creatively transform their own knowledge and experience. The knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary in future pedagogical activity are manifested not only as a result of learning through the traditional lecture and seminar system of education, but also in the course of self-education. Higher education today is focused on the development of independence in students, which consists of skills instilled by modern training technologies.
This article analyzes the experience of using the project method in preparing students of Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan, future teachers of preschool organizations for self-education. The author offers the results of experimental activities, basing the choice of the project method on the theoretical analysis of project-based learning research. A feature of the work is the identification of the specifics of the application of the project method in the context of distance learning.
