The article presents a clinical-psychological analysis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and its impact on mental and behavioral health. The theoretical review highlights the high comorbidity of PTSD and complex PTSD (CPTSD) with depressive, anxiety, and addictive disorders, as well as their link to emotional dysregulation and aggressive behavior. The empirical part of the study, based on a sample of 398 parents, demonstrates the correlation between childhood experiences of violence, PTSD symptoms in adulthood, and the reproduction of violent parenting practices. The paper introduces a clinical-psychological model of intergenerational transmission of trauma, showing how unresolved traumatic experiences become risk factors for aggressive and deviant parental behavior. The novelty of the study lies in integrating theoretical and empirical data within the sociocultural context of Kazakhstan and substantiating the need for early diagnosis and prevention programs for PTSD.
