Abstract

The article discusses the allocation of behavioral features of mothers with Down syndrome, which determine its prosocial orientation. An analysis of the content characteristics of the qualities that form the basis of a prosocial personality is presented. The article presents the results of a study aimed at determining the prosocial characteristics of mothers raising children with Down syndrome. The identified features made it possible to identify the main strategies of mothers' behavior, based on the interpretation of the stages of moral development according to L. Kohlberg, K. Gilligan and N. Eisenberg.
