This article discusses features of the relationship between parents and children, such as attachment and dependence. The psychology of the relationship between son and mother is considered from two points of view: mother and son. The phenomenon of the mother is described as an assessment of the ability and willingness of the mother to solve specific educational problems in the family, providing the child with life experience and helping him in life and educational potential. In the relationship between son and mother, objective needs, emotional satisfaction, specific educational functions are taken into account, characterized by affection. Studying the relationship between son and mother is very important both for understanding the factors affecting the formation of the personality of a child, and for organizing psychological and pedagogical practice. Intimacy, love, trustful communication, caring for each other have a profound effect on the psyche of the boy and provide a wide range of additional emotional anxieties and needs and, thus, become a school for true social feelings for him. Mother, being the first woman on the way to every man, unconsciously determines her future love life. Every mother understands that nothing can compare with her love. Since the relationship between mother and son is of great importance, it affects the future life of a man. The main problem in this relationship is the mother’s affection for her son, which is manifested in excessive care.
