The article presents the experience of adapting the Russian-language questionnaire «The scale of resistance to sources of stress» by E.V.Raspopin. It’s justified for the need of testing this Russian-language questionnaire for the Kazakh-speaking sample living in Kazakhstan. This circumstance is primarily due to the lack of methodological techniques and psychodiagnostic methods for people to cope with stress and provide them with further psychological assistance. The organizational aspects of creating a Kazakh-language version of the test are considered in compliance with the appropriate requirements for the approbation of methods translated into Kazakh. The traditional procedure of creating the primary form of the questionnaire and its psychometric verification is described. After analyzing all the points of the questionnaire, the reasons for the effectiveness of the identified statements, as well as some points of checking the psychometric characteristics of the test, were analyzed
