At primary school age, children have an active development of cognitive activity, including the emotional sphere. Self-awareness is improved and the manifestation of emotion occurs in accordance with the assimilation of social norms. Children at this age continue to learn to understand the emotions of other people by coming into contact with them and the development of emotional intelligence begins. In children with hearing impairments, the development of socio-emotional intelligence has specific features and difficulties. Taking into account the ontogenetic foundations is the basis for studying the level of development of socio-emotional intelligence of primary school children with hearing impairments.
