This study presents the translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and psychometric evaluation of the Kazakh version of the Student Subjective Wellbeing Questionnaire (SSWQ) developed by T. L. Renshaw and colleagues to assess students' subjective well-being in the educational context. The study included 807 university students from Kazakhstan aged 16 to 25 years. The research protocol was approved by the Local Ethics Committee of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and participation was voluntary and anonymous. The aim of the study was to translate, culturally adapt, and evaluate the factor structure, reliability, and construct validity of the Kazakh version of the SSWQ. Statistical analyses were conducted using Jamovi software. Psychometric evaluation included the calculation of Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega coefficients, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, testing of a second-order hierarchical model, and assessment of convergent and discriminant validity using Spearman's rank correlation coefficients. The findings demonstrated high internal consistency of the subscales, replicated the original four-factor structure of the questionnaire, confirmed the applicability of the second-order model and the use of an overall subjective well-being score, and provided evidence of good construct validity. The Kazakh version of the SSWQ demonstrated satisfactory psychometric properties and can be recommended for research, psychological support of university students, and evaluation of interventions aimed at promoting students' psychological well-being.
