Abstract

Hearing impaired children represent a special group of students who need additional support and attention in the educational process. One of the important aspects of their development is the formation of social intelligence. This article discusses the key strategies and approaches that will help in the implementation of this process in hearing-impaired primary school children. For visualization, they are presented in the form of a model or a Smart-art.

In addition, the theoretical study analyzes the features of the development of social intelligence in hearing-impaired children of primary school age. With regard to the empirical study, the authors conducted a test to assess the level of social intelligence in the control and experimental groups, and organized and tested the effectiveness of training for the development of social competence in children with partial hearing loss.

Teachers of inclusive schools and specialized classes should create conditions for an inclusive and accessible environment for children with disabilities, including students with hearing impairments, actively involve them in collaborative learning, encouraging their constructive communication and emotional interaction with peers. Cooperation with other specialists and parents of hearing-impaired primary school children also should be considered.
