The quality of professional training of psychologists is directly related to their level of personal growth. The purpose of the article is to systematize the theoretical foundations of personal growth and to analyze international and Kazakhstani empirical studies of art-psychological technologies' impact in order to identify the research gap. Following PRISMA 2020, 43 studies were selected from Web of Science, Scopus and RSCI (2017-2025). Theories were systematized within three directions; it was proven that art-psychological technologies statistically significantly increase self-awareness, self-efficacy, emotional regulation and psychological well-being. Kazakhstani research is taking the first steps in this direction, yet the reflective and self-consciousness aspects remain unexplored for psychology students. The article provides a theoretical-methodological basis for future empirical research.
