The article considers human mindfulness, its definition, types and factors influencing its formation and development. The purpose of this work is to theoretically analyze and systematize the methods of studying mindfulness and to consider the phenomenon of “mindfulness” from the point of view of various theoretical points of view.
In recent decades, there has been a steady increase in the number of works devoted to the scientific development of the concept of mindfulness in foreign literature. The technique of mindfulness has existed for many centuries as part of Buddhist and other Eastern spiritual traditions. In Eastern spiritual traditions, mindfulness is often discussed as a special state that can be achieved through meditation. Later, in clinical psychology and psychotherapy, the phenomenon of mindfulness has become an independent direction in the context of scientific research as a topic of study.
Scientists attribute the phenomenon of mindfulness to the class of metacognitive regulatory abilities. According to a number of researchers, the concept of mindfulness serves as a methodological tool for synthesizing psychological models of the norm and pathology of the psyche developed in various psychological schools. The article presents comprehensively considered definitions of the concepts of mindfulness and mindfulness.
