This article discusses the process of the psychological aspect of the development of research competencies of teachers in the framework of continuing education by mastering the English language. The aim of the study is to find out how the use of English at a professional level affects the integration of teachers into research activities, academic writing skills and the international scientific environment. The study was carried out with the participation of 15 teachers of the Central Asian Innovation University and consisted of three stages: diagnostic, training and final assessment. During the experimental work, teachers took part in a specially developed training program, improving their practical skills in academic English, working with scientific texts, preparing research notes and participating in international conferences. As a result, their ability to write academic and analyze scientific texts was greatly improved, and their confidence in conducting research in English increased. Based on the results obtained in the article, ways of improving programs of continuous professional development were proposed, and it was proved that mastering the English language is an important tool for increasing the research potential of teachers. The study highlights the need to develop methodological, language and research skills that allow teachers to join the international academic community.
