The article examines the relationship between identity styles and psychological well-being of students at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay. The study used the «Psychological Well-Being Scale» by K. Rieff and the «Identity Styles Questionnaire». The sample consisted of 256 male and female students (158 girls and 96 boys), selected by a multi-stage cluster method in the 2023-2024 academic year. The relationship between identity style and psychological well-being is assessed using regression, and differences by gender are analyzed using an independent t-test. The results revealed a strong negative link between dispersed identity styles and psychological well-being and a noteworthy positive correlation between normative identity styles and psychological well-being. Regarding gender characteristics, no significant differences were found between identity styles and psychological well-being. Thus, it has been empirically proven that there is a significant relationship between identity styles and psychological well-being.
