The article is devoted to the problem of hyperactivity, which is often found in younger schoolchildren who have just entered school. It is known that hyperactivity is characterized not only by motor activity, but also by behavioral changes that prevent full penetration and integration into a new environment. Therefore, the organization of correctional work with these students on the basis of sports-oriented psychotherapy for primary school students is currently one of the most effective and efficient methods. The authors, revealing the theoretical basis of correctional work, comprehensively consider the specifics of its organization and justify its effectiveness. In the article, based on diagnostic techniques, the results obtained during correctional work are presented. Also, based on the results obtained in the final experimental work, a conclusion of a methodological nature is made.
