The article deals with the problem of theoretical research of problems of teenagers with suicidal behavior. Components of suicidal behavior: suicidal manifestations (thoughts, approaches, opinions, intentions, feelings) and suicidal actions. The works of scientists analyze opinions concerning suicidal behavior. Psychopathological, sociological, and socio-psychological approaches that explain the occurrence of deviation are considered. According to the classification of modern suicidology, the following factors of suicidal risk are distinguished: biological, socio-central and psychological-psychiatric. In the psyche of a teenager, properties that contribute to suicidal behavior are shown. In particular, we are talking about serious causes of adolescent suicide. The "risk group"of children who are prone to suicidal behavior is indicated.
