The article deals with the problem of developing communication skills of preschool children through games. It explains the skills necessary for the development of preschool education. Special attention is paid to the need for preschool children to develop creativity, critical thinking, communication skills and the ability to work in a team. We are talking about the need to improve the child's speech ability to develop speech through communication, as well as the functions of communication. For the purpose of education and training of children, starting from early preschool age, the ways of developing communication skills using game elements, free communication, and solving logical problems are considered. The article analyzes and summarizes the opinion of scientists about the game in the leading activity of the preschool period.
