The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of the transformation of the professional activity of a university teacher in the conditions of digitalization of higher education. The features of the development of digital technologies to be used in education, the formation of digital literacy, as well as the requirements to the personality of a teacher in modern conditions of society development are revealed. The experience of domestic and foreign teachers in the implementation of digital education at the university is summarized. The results of the study on the readiness for the use of digital technologies by modern university teachers are also presented.
Higher education institutions and teaching staff are faced with the question of whether they are ready to use digital technologies to implement the CPP in the conditions of digitalization of education. We conducted a mini-study among the teachers of the Almaty Technological University. Using the questionnaire method, the level of readiness of teachers to use digital technologies was investigated. The questionnaire consisted of 20 questions concerning various skills and competencies necessary for the implementation of digital education (informational competence, digital literacy, stress tolerance, time management, establishing effective communication and feedback, flexibility of thinking, etc.). The results of a study of psychological readiness for the use of digital technologies by modern university teachers are also presented.
