This article identifies the relevance in the process of studying psychological and pedagogical literature and analysis of educational practice of higher education to overcome the difficulties of students in the development of the educational program. The issue of increasing the success of learning activities for technical areas of study is considered.
In order to develop measures of pedagogical assistance in increasing the success of students' learning activities the diagnostics of the existing difficulties of students was carried out. The method of questioning was used, supplemented by the method of clarification of the conversation with master's students. First-year master's students of the full-time department of Almaty Technical University took part in the research. As a result of the questioning the problems of technical students were clearly demonstrated.
