The relevance of the problem of the development of Olympic education is justified by the fact that
the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “on Physical culture and sports” defines the task set for a society
as “in the tasks of the state policy in the field of physical culture and sports: the development of nonolympic, Olympic, paralympic and national sports”.
In the article, researchers consider the experience of organizing work on the development of
Olympic education abroad and in Kazakhstan in the process of analyzing scientific pedagogical, special
literature. The experience of advanced Olympic education, systematic work in the states of Belarus,
Ukraine, Russia can be noted.
The influence of sports, Olympic sports on the formation of a system of values and the harmonious
development of personality is revealed. The psychological foundations of the athletes personality
development through Olympic education are determined.
Summing up the research, it can be noted that Olympic education in these countries is systemic in
its conceptual approaches, covering all categories of young people, from a preschool child to a student
of a higher educational institution. In general, a lot of information, research and organizational work is
being carried out on the basis of the introduction of Olympic education, popularization of Olympic
ideals and values for people engaged in sports and physical culture.e.
