Abstract

The relevance of this article is due to the promotion of the interests of the scientific and practical community to the problem of speech development in pre-school children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) with the use of various methods, tools and technologies. The article is aimed at theoretically uncover and visually show the results of experimental work with methods of alternative communication (pictogram) for the development of speech of pre-school children with ASD. The authors tested the program of speech development by means of alternative communication (pictogram) with children of pre-school age with The authors tested the program of speech development by means of alternative communication (pictogram) with children of pre-school age with ASD. The study was based on a theoretical analysis that included historical, comparative and systemic analysis; the experimental part of the study was defined by three (establishing, shaping and controlling) stages of experiment with the application of empirical methods (observation, questionnaires, testing). As a result of research work showed that preschool children with ASD have changed in the sphere of communication with others, which affected not only alternative communication, but also oral communication. This article is intended for researchers in the field of science and practising professionals both psychologists and defectologists engaged in speech development problems of pre-school children with ASD.
