The article examines the psychological features of the formation of behavioral qualities of first-graders, including its impact on academic performance. Self-analysis with full coverage of research work, scientific and methodological literature on the research topic was carried out. The authors formulated effective ways and methodology for the formation of behavioral qualities in first-graders, which can be determined through collective, benevolent, benevolent character traits, ethical qualities, comprehensively considering at the theoretical level the level of volitional qualities underlying the formation of their behavioral qualities and affecting academic performance. On the basis of experimental research work, the work on methodological support for improving student academic performance through the use of techniques and games-exercises that form the strong-willed qualities of first-graders in the lessons of scheduled and extracurricular work is disclosed.
