The purpose of this study is to identify problems associated with the formation of professionally important qualities that are necessary for students of pedagogical universities in the specialty of future school psychologists; the article also discusses the stages of their preparation in all areas of practical psychology. If we talk about certain characteristics inherent in the effective work of a psychologist, then the meaningfulness of the professional’s attitude towards himself in the context of his professional activity is important. Therefore, research aimed at developing important professional qualities, abilities, abilities and skills relevant to this profession, focused on recognizing personality traits necessary for the future school psychologist should be paramount.
