Abstract

Contemporary social and technological changes have intensified interest in studying the life strategy of personality as a system of semantic and operational regulation. The problem lies in the absence of an integrated model that adequately reflects its multilevel structure. The aim of this study is to identify the interrelations between personality traits, meaning-in-life orientations, and parameters of mindful presence.

The study involved 131 participants (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan). The Big Five Inventory‑2 (BFI‑2), the Meaning-in-Life Orientations Test (MLO; developed by D.A. Leontiev), and the Mindful Presence Assessment Method (MPAM) were employed. Data were processed using Spearman’s correlation analysis.

The results demonstrated that dispositional personality characteristics are associated with higher levels of semantic regulation and mindful presence, whereas neuroticism hinders the coherence of levels. Significant correlations were found between meaning-in-life orientations and mindful presence scales, confirming the linkage between the semantic and ontological levels. Thus, the life strategy of personality emerges as an integrative system in which levels mutually reinforce each other, ensuring subjectivity and stability of the life path.
