The article discusses the issues of rhetoric, pedagogical rhetoric, the conditions for the formation of a teacher’s oratory skills. The essence, structure and significance of the formation of the oratorical skills of future teachers are revealed. The study of the features of the teacher's speech as a representative of the profession that increases speech responsibility is closely related to classical rhetoric. Therefore, the article considers the relationship of public speaking with the professional competence of a teacher, and sets out the conditions for the formation of public speaking in continuing education.
