Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires constant attention to blood glucose levels, dietary restrictions and regular medical supervision. Psychological well-being and the ability to cope with the challenges associated with diagnosis play an important role in managing the disease. In this article, we will study the level of chronic stress characteristic of patients with diabetes mellitus, as well as analyze its impact on the course of the disease.
In addition, through a theoretical analysis of current research, the authors have confirmed the importance of optimal coping behavior and increasing resilience for patients with diabetes mellitus. The empirical study, including the resistance scale and the questionnaire "Ways of Coping Behavior", revealed the degree of resilience, adaptability of coping behavior and the level of chronic stress in people with diabetes mellitus, namely in patients with type 2 diabetes.
