The article describes school bullying (bullying) - direct systematic attacks on children that violate their fundamental rights during education. School bullying is the practice among students of “using their power as leverage to inflict physical, emotional, or intellectual harm; it is a deliberate, sustained act of violence by an individual or group against a defenseless person.” This article presents the theoretical aspect of the problem of bullying (bullying among peers) in a school environment: definition, types of bullying, bullying system, characteristics of the participants in bullying. Consequences highlighted bul lying for all its participants. Emphasis is placed on the prevention of bullying through psychological education of participants in the educational environment.
The most important factor for the success of anti-bullying programs is comprehensive and simultaneous preventive work with all parties involved in school bullying - victims, aggressors and witnesses, that is, third parties to the conflict. In order to prevent bullying, it is necessary to “conduct educational work with schoolchildren, as well as explanatory work between teachers, representatives of the school administration and parents.” In conclusion, which “shows the misbehavior of every team member,” a holistic approach is needed to solve this problem.
