Abstract

The article outlines the main psychological characteristics of persons with disabilities who are prone to addictive behavior. A literature review of available research in world and Kazakhstan psychological practice was carried out. The peculiarities of behavior of persons with visual impairments are revealed. This topic has not been sufficiently studied in the Kazakh scientific sphere. The purpose of the study is to determine the personal characteristics of people with visual impairments who are susceptible to alcohol addiction, as well as to develop recommendations for prevention, psychological correction and overcoming addiction. Scientific significance of the study: the work identified and characterized the personal characteristics of a person with disabilities who is susceptible to alcohol addiction. The content of the behavioral and social conditionality of the emergence and development of human psychological dependence is revealed. The characteristics of the personal characteristics of a dependent person with disabilities identified in the study can be used in rehabilitation and drug treatment centers.
