The article indicates the need for further research from a scientific point of view and the need to select and create the most effective forms and methods of individual and group work of the psychological service of the University with students and teachers (psychoprophylactic and psychohigienic, diagnostic, consulting, developmental and corrective methods) aimed at self-development, self-actualization and self-realization, which contribute to the process of socio-psychological adaptation of student youth. It is proved that it is necessary to identify the features and problems of socio-psychological adaptation of modern student youth, as well as the presence and specificity of the needs for psychological support.
