This article is devoted to the study of the features of psychophysiological research carried out using a polygraph, which is widely used today in many spheres of life in modern society.
The main purpose of the article is to present the methodology for conducting such a study, which consists of several stages.
The modern polygraph is a multipurpose device designed for the simultaneous registration of a number of physiological processes associated with the emergence of emotions. Basically, the sensors record indicators of respiration, cardiovascular system, skin resistance and tremors. In addition, additional channels for obtaining psychophysiological changes can be used: sensors for controlling facial expressions, picking up speech signals, etc.
Based on personal experience with the use of a polygraph, we believe that psychophysiological research using a polygraph is one of the most effective tools for early diagnosis of young people's susceptibility to destructive radical ideas and views.
In the context of such an understanding of the peculiarities of using this method, it can be concluded that the regular conduct of such screening studies helps to identify potential supporters of various radical directions that have a destructive nature, including extremist religious movements.
Consequently, the proposed methodology for conducting psychophysiological research using a polygraph has today turned into a means of preventing destructive radical activity among Kazakh youth.
