The educational space is being improved and changes are forcing us to look for innovative methods and forms of education. Therefore, in the educational process, including in the training of specialists in special pedagogy, it is very important to be able to use extensive arsenals of educational technologies that in the future will help students to properly organize correctional and developmental work with children with special educational needs, taking into account their individual characteristics. One of them is project-based learning technologies. As a systemically organized activity, the project method is of great importance in the formation and development of the professional competence of future specialists. As a detailed image of the future object or method of activity, the project method is not only educational and cognitive, but also playful, creative and research activities, the result of which is the solution of a problem or question in the context of the use of the project. By ensuring the integrity of the pedagogical process, the project method helps to destroy knowledge and develop research skills. In order to competently organize training in the context of the project method, it is very important to know the methodology and psychological and pedagogical aspects.
