Annotation
The article provides a theoretical analysis of various studies of foreign, Russian and domestic scientists who have considered the phenomenon of "ethno-cultural identity" and its formation in children in modern science. The features of the child's ethno-cultural identity, the stages of formation and the factors influencing them are described. As a result of his experimental research, the author comes to the conclusion that "children 6-7 years old can ethnoculturally identify themselves with their ethnic group." In addition, the author presents the theoretical foundations and characteristics of the modified methodology, as well as the author's developed methodology for diagnosing the levels of ethno-cultural identity of Kazakh children of this age, obtained during an experimental study.
